The volume of the tank on your Insignia is 7,5L.
The percentage of AdBlue® currently remaining can be displayed on the driver information center by pressing several times on the button at the end of the windscreen wiper's controller to show the menu "percentage of remaining AdBlue®". If the level of AdBlue® drops below a 1500 miles of mileage, a warning message showing "AdBlue® mileage: 1500 miles" is displayed on the driver information center. Driving is possible without any restrictions. When the remaining mileage drops to 600 miles, warning messages are displayed alternatively on the driver information center: "AdBlue® Level Low, fill up now?", "Imposs. to restart engine in 500 miles". The Y warning light flashes without interruption and an alarm signal rings 4 times every 3 minutes. Before the driving prohibition is locked, the following warning messages are displayed: "AdBlue® empty, fill upon? no engine restart", the Y warning light stays illuminated and an audible signal sounds 4 times every 3 minutes. After driving prohibition, the following message will be displayed:"Fill up AdBlue® to restart engine." A volume of at least 5 litres of AdBlue® needs to be added during fill up in order for the new level of AdBlue® to be detected by the system and that the warning light extinguishes. If the tank is entirely empty, the following message appears : "Fill AdBlue® to restart engine". When the tank is empty, a volume of at least 5L of AdBlue® must be added during the fill-up for the level of AdBlue® to be detected by the system and for the signal to disappear.
Even if the tank is empty, you can continue to drive, as long as your engine is not turned off. As soon as the engine stops running, it will not restart. If the new level of AdBlue® is not correctly detected by the system, drive continuously for 10 minutes while making sure that the speed of the vehicle is always greater than 13 miles/hour.
