AdBlue® and Land Rover
Launch in 2015 of AdBlue® at Land Rover
As of 2015, Land Rover began to market diesel models that are compatible with the requirements of the Euro VI standard. Jaguar and Land Rover have adopted SCR technology to meet the new strict regulations. This technology requires the use of the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), also known as Land Rover AdBlue®, which is stored in a dedicated tank whose capacity depends on your model.
What are the models using this technology?
All diesel 2016 models meet Euro 6 requirements. Range Rover has modernised its engines so that they are both powerful and clean. The models classic, Sport and Range Rover Evoque are equipped with an AdBlue® tank with a capacity ranging from 14.5 to 18L depending on engine type. The Discovery classic and Sport are also Euro 6-approved.
In 2016, Jaguar introduced its 4 models “clean diesel“. These are the F Pace, XE, XF and XJ models.
How do you refill with AdBlue® on these new models ?
Tanking with AdBlue® is not a difficult maintenance task to perform. You can do it directly yourself. To do so, you need a container of at least 5L. Then look for the position of your tank of AdBlue® by visiting the site infodiesel.fr/marques/adblue-land-rover/. Once you found it, fill in until your tank is empty. Repeat the same tasks in reverse to reset your car in working order.
