Bentley: the first diesel vehicle soon on sale
After Porsche, Bentley is entering the market of diesel SUV. The small British manufacturer has announced the launch of a diesel version of the Bentayga SUV which will be commercialised by January 2017, as one of the first diesel motorization vehicle of Bentley’s history.
The diesel Bentayga Bentley is equipped with a V8 4.0 L engine, which has been co-developed by Audi. It is associated with two turbochargers and one compressor with electronic control which helps eliminate the delay due to the turbo. This four-by-four will be marketed at a price close to 230 000 euros.

The diesel engine of Bentayga will please the diesel amateurs. With 608 horsepower and an unbelievable torque of 900, this SUV displays sportive performances. Its V8 bi-turbo allow to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km in only 4.8 seconds for a maximum speed of 250 Km/h.
The Diesel Bentayga endures an average consumption of 7.4L per 100 KM which is quite reasonable for a SUV. The CO2 emissions of the diesel models are the lowest of all the Bentley range with only 210g per Km. In order to answer the Euro VI regulation, Bentley has decided to equip his most current model with a SCR system and an AdBlue fuel tank so as to catch out the nitrogen oxide particles produced by the diesel engine.
