How to fill up with AdBlue®
Drivers of diesel vehicles must top up their AdBlue® when their vehicle’s warning light comes on
Diesel vehicles equipped with an AdBlue® tank may no longer start if their drivers ignore the AdBlue® warning. There are therefore some best practices to follow in order to avoid this type of situation.
When and how should AdBlue® be topped up?
When your car warns you that you need to top up your AdBlue® tank, it is time to go online to find the best price. Your dealer can fill up your tank, but be aware that you can also do it yourself. Take care when topping up in order to avoid spills. Using an unauthorised product instead of AdBlue® solution may render your warranty invalid.
Some vehicles will inform you of the capacity of your AdBlue® tank. You can find this information by visiting the website infodiesel.fr or by consulting your user manual. Once you have checked the capacity, follow the specific filling procedure for your vehicle. The filler cap for the AdBlue® tank can be found next to the diesel filler flap, in the boot of your car or under the bonnet. Never fill the AdBlue® tank with anything other than AdBlue® and never try to dilute the substance.
